TOMIC October Challenge - Monochrome

Hello crafty friends and good morning.

We have started a new month and so comes a new TOMIC Challenge. Remember that when you participate you are in a competition to win a prize from Magnolia.

The theme we have chosen for you is Monochrome and I must say it was hard for me to create something with just three/four pencil colours. I have used Faber Castell Albrecht Durer and added on some pink to spice it up with some colour.

I have used kraft paper as the base of the card, Maja Design papers, some lace and a doily at the back and some Magnolia doohickey dies. Flowers added on and a metal filigree cabochon base on the top corner.

Hope you like my inspiration for you this month and we hope to see more of you participate in TOMIC.

Hanglar & Wings - Sea horses

Good morning everyone!

I have been asked to be Guest Designer for Hanglar & Wings for the month of October.

I was so happy to see their comeback and seeing new stamps and sentiments being produced.

I have created a lollipop shaker card for my first entry.

In the set you get two lovely sea horses facing each other and two sentiments. So I decided to create a male and female version.

I have stamped the sentiment in the centre and embossed some acetate to create the shaker centre part. Some pink glitter and small stars were added.

I have used gesso all over this lollipop card to make it look vintage. Cheesecloth and lace from underneath the sea horses and shaker part to rough it up.

I have filled up a small bottle with pink glitter and added it underneath the flowers. I have also included a frame around the sentiment on the top part to give it attention.

I have utilised a wooden stick as a base for my card since it's heavy.

The sea horses have been coloured with distress ink reinkers and fussy cut. Sisal in turquoise colour and matching flowers all around. I have used Maja Design paper to create this :)

Hope you like my creation and I wish you all a great day !

Little Skater Girl - All Dressed Up Stamps by Crafteezee

Hello dear friends how are you all doing? It's been a hectic week for me with my son starting 6th form and going back to the pre Summer schedule is a bit of a headache :)

With you today with a tag I have created with this lovely Little Skater from the All Dressed Up Stamp set coming out soon, I haven't picked up a favourite as yet - I LOVE THEM ALL!

I have used paper from Mintay Dreamer paper pad 12 x 12 - lots of different designs from cable knit to flowery design it just has all that we need to create our Winter designer cards. I have also used paper from Prima Marketing - it's also very nice and it's called Poetic Rose.

I used the pom pom trim which comes in different colours to give it a pop up at the back.

I have coloured this stamp with Copics to colour and distressed around the image with my scissors and distress ink.

I have die cut the flowers from Lady E poinsietta die and leaves from Hydrangea set Flower 5. Stames are pearl gold from our Crafteezee shop.

I am not sure if I'm going to hang her on the tree or else on my shabby chic dining furniture but for sure she deserves to be seen haha.

Wishing you a great week ahead!

Lots of love from me always

Guest Designer @ Swedish House Crafts

Good morning everyone!

Today I am Guest Designer for Swedish House Crafts and I have created a card using the Magnolia Bee You Kit which came out for Magnolia Day :)

Wanted to create something special with this buzzing bee so I have placed her on a wooden chip to give it that natural effect.

She has been coloured with distress ink reinkers and I have used Moda Scrap papers from my stash.

You can spot the width of a this piece of tree trunk - those small leaves I have done myself using opaque white masking take coloured with copics and then formed on a forma mould which you can buy from Swedish House Crafts.

The tree die and small flowers are part of Magnolia Doohickey 22 - the sentiment and the bee hive dies are something I bought from ebay.

Hope you like my creation today and hope to hear from you....share what you are working on I'm always curious xxx

Six new Stamps at Crafteezee

Hello :) how is your weekend going?

Am having some crafting time back in my life at the minute - I moved the basic stuff (is there such a word 'basic' when it comes to crafting) down to my walk in wardrobe as it's easier for me to work in an air-conditioned environment. Temperatures still too high to work in my craft room.

So here we are sharing our first of the new six new stamps from the range All Dressed Up Girls - this one is called Summer Breeze and isn't she lovely :)

I am using copics on this lovely stamp and I went for rusty red for her dress and flowers in her hair.

The text says 'Love and Best Wishes' ideal for any occasion really.

The papers and cut outs are all from Birdsong - Mintay by Karola. Had time to fussy cut a few bits here and there.

Can you spot the small vine die at the lower right corner - that's from Magnolia Doohickey 22 available at Crafteezee

I have placed the little bird on a birdhouse chipboard on the side of the image and framed the image with a personal die.

I have decorated the box with the same Mintay papers on the side, distressed on the edges.

I have used once again a doohickey die from Doohickey Vol 22 to decorate the sides of the box.

Hope you enjoyed what I prepared for you today!

Lots of love from me

Friendship in a window

Hello everyone and welcome to another week. Today I have created a different type of card for you. I have created some foamiran flowers with the lovely Lade E dies :)

This is a farewell card for a dear friend of mine who is also a work colleague. I wanted to create something to show her that friendship lasts forever.

All things I have used are in the shop links to them are at the end of the post.

I have backed up the window die with the lovely Pion Design images with lovely quotes and pictures...this says 'friends are the sunshine of life'. You get different images or quotes and they are perfect to use for different ocassions.

Not sure if you spotted the lovely hyacinth flowers we have in the shop but I felt it matched this lovely Pion design paper to a tee so I used one today on my project.

I have sprayed the white foamiran flowers with the glitter mist spray and used white gesso on the window.

I have to admit that lilac/mauve/purple are my favourite colours so you will be seeing a lot of my creations with this colour.... hopefully you like it too

XOXO

To have and to hold...

Hi everybody good morning hope you are all having a wonderful day. Another week flew by and it's wedding season again :)

Sharing with you today another Wedding Goatbox but this time I am using the three layered one with inserts.

I have lots of photos to share with you so I hope you read till the very end!

For the lid I have used the Prima flowers, a foamiran flower I created and a Scrapinice frame with butterfly and love with arrow chipboard on the top

I have used lace around the lid to give it a vintage look

In the middle I have used this chipboard winter gate from Scrapiniec and placed flowers on both sides

This is how it looks open....very hard to picture all the layers :)

Every leaf of this box has been created differently no side is the same.

I have also used a lot of silver grey mist spray

This gwendolyne lace is to die for :)

From within the four inserts I placed a tag made out of kraft paper

I have fussy cut some of the motifs on the beautiful Mintay Marry Me papers

I have done the same here using some natural sisal at the back.

This bloomar chipboard frame fitted perfectly in one of the sides and I have stamped a sentiment on the inside. I have also used white gesso.

I have gone round one of these lovely square die cuts with some pom pom lace

This is another Bloomar chipboard frame with lovely hearts around it

I hope you have enjoyed looking at this wedding box and I hope I have inspired you to create something similar.

xoxo
