My first Magnolia Christmas Card

Hello everybody back again today with my first Christmas card. As soon as Autumn kicks in for me it's time to start working on my yearly Christmas cards.

Winter Skating Tilda has been coloured with Distress Ink Reinkers. Victorian Velvet and Walnut Stain are two favourite colours of mine.

Backing paper is also from Magnolia and so are all the dies.

The Merry Christmas stamp is a Magnolia stamp which I use frequently for my cards as well

All dies are from Magnolia most are from the Magnolia Doohickey Vol 12

Can you spot the glass bauble filled with red particles?

The fantastic ponsietta die

Hope you are all having a good day!

Insta Tilda

Back today with some positive news...I am now part of the fantastic Magnolia Forever After DT Team.

This month's (September) challenge title is 'Favourite Magnolia Stamp' and here is a link that takes you directly to our Facebook group

Our fantastic sponsor for this month's challenge is

So for this month's challenge I have chosen Insta Tilda which is sooo gorgeous :)

What is your favourite Tilda Stamp? Are you in a for a challenge?

I have coloured Tilda with Albrecht Durer pencils by Faber-Castell. If you are thinking of buying yourself a new set of pencils, go for it!

I have stamped Tilda on grey kraft paper something a bit different but I achieved what I wished for my project.

I have used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Sentiment stamp is also a Magnolia stamp

The camera die is a Magnolia die which works so much combined with Insta Tilda.

The bow at the very top is also a Magnolia die. You can say I am a Magnolia lover yes I am :)

Any questions please feel free to ask, always happy to help!

Lots of luv xxx

Cake it is...

Who doesn't like cake?

I’m watching my waist at the minute but cake is always on my mind   :)

I wanted to do something different from a card this time round so I formed a slice of cake box in which one could put a small present.

This is the Made with Love Tilda which is one of my favourite stamps. You can use it on so many projects!

As I said the lid opens up so you can put anything you like in it. Tilda has been coloured with distress reinkers then fussy cut and stuck onto the lid. I have used some ribbon I purchased from Aliexpress which works a treat with this project.

The flag onto a toothpick says Happy from one side and Birthday from the other. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Hope you like this quick project I have made for you today :)

Happy crafting x

Summer and all the love from the sea

I am an absolute summer lover :)

Having said that I suffered a bit this year as my craft room is in the top floor and that means lots of heat and the impossible task to work up there.

However now I organised a table in my sitting room where I am happily crafting again overlooking the courtyard and garden.

I have organised a Summer themed card for my sister's birthday with the Magnolia Tilda mermaid which I adore.

The sentiment does not show very much in the photo but you can make out WISH in sparkly green at the bottom left corner.

I have used real shells which I had picked up from a beach here in Malta

The sparkly round dots are from Marianne Design and the cup sequins are something I got from a local craft store

I coloured Tilda with distress reinkers.

I am participating with this card in the Forever Magnolia Blog Challenge Number 68 - Holiday

Thanks for stopping by :)

Heavenly Tilda with distress inks

I am currently in experimentation mode and using all type of mediums to colour in my stamped images. Be it distress reinkers, distress markers, copics and pencils.

I have purchased a new watercolouring paper pad to try out the reinkers again and I'm in love. Am currently using The Langton Hot Pressed Graine Satine. It's lush to work with as it doesn't absorb the ink very quickly so it gives you time to work on it.

I am back today with the gorgeous Heavenly Tilda which I coloured with distress reinkers.

Paper is by First Edition - Beyond the shore.

The cloud die is by Magnolia I have had this for quite sometime and use it frequently for my projects.

Flowers are all by Wild Orchid Crafts and have stickles on them for a bit of sparkle.

I have used a Gummiapian stamp named Stockholm post stamp  you can pick the word up next to Tilda and Nuvo white drops too.

Card has been mounted on kraft paper which is my favourite as a base card stock.

Can you see the sparkle on Tilda's headband and sentiment die?

The light bluish glass beads is something I bought from the one pound shop here. They didn't cost much and give the whole theme a bit more dimension.

Hope I have inspired some of you to colour your Tilda's with reinkers :)

Any questions please ask. More than happy to help

Godfather request

Don't you find it to be a huge responsibility to create something on someone's request according to their needs. This was a case in point where at the beginning I didn't know what to create. The request was for an Uncle to be asked to be a Godfather at a confirmation.

I decided that since I was on the Holy Communion book card creating idea to follow suit.  So I chose some lovely cardstock which was very expensive but it had a lot of shimmer and glitter which I love

I stitched it onto some blue dot embossed cardstock and voila below is the front of this book card.

A cross at the front was highly appropriate but to lessen a bit the seriousness of it I placed an organza bow at the middle of the cross.

I die cut the cross twice. Once on the blue cardstock and then onto a white padded glittery foam which I bought.

On the inside I stitched the left side like the front. I used a nice sweet poem to sort of pop up the question to this boy's uncle.

On the inside as you can see it opens up as a book. I was sent a coloured photo which I turned to a light blue colour and then printed and die cut with my oval frame die.

The ribbon around the frame on the right is a very expensive one. A roll of a few metres is Eur25 but it gives my projects such dimension and style that without it, it wouldn't have looked as nice.

If anyone has any questions about this project please feel free to contact me :)

Have a great day!

Baptism Explosion Box

I love May. It's the best time of the year. Far from Winter and close to Summer. A beginning for the nicest season of the year.

So be it April May season requests for Christening/Baptism, Wedding and Holy Communion Cards are in popular demand here.

I was asked to do a Baptism card by a good friend of mine Grace.

I worked on a green/blue colour explosion box.

I tend to delve away from the normal light blue or pink baby colours for these cards.

I used organza ribbon around the box and the alphabet die by Sizzix

For the middle of the card I used these lovely shoe dies and again coloured organza in light green colour

I have used circle dies all throughout except for the centre

A poem was placed on the other side as well.

I am in love with this envelope die I tend to put it in for these kind of occassions as it is quite normal to give monetary gifts on these occassions.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

And to make it a bit more flashy I sprayed it all with Liquid Pearl Spray to give it that twinkling look

Hope my project inspires some of you today

I have used another stamp from Magnolia as a base for this gorgeous girl. I have used a blackboard sort of note on top to write my friend's name on it

Heart tag die is also from Magnolia and I have used purple ribbon to give it more dimension.

Can you spot the leaves in this picture? They are something I formed from extra light clay which is easy to use if you have proper moulds for it. And to finish this project off, I have used the glass beads to give it that extra look.

Hope you like my project xxx

Winding your way down on Baker Street

Hi everybody hope you had a good start to your weekend with lots of sunshine....can't wait for Summer to return and for my travels to start!

London was one of the first places I travelled to so it's a place I love.

Today I have used a Scrapiniec frame for my project, made of out laser cut wood They have different items which are absolutely adorable and enhance your project to perfection.

I have also used the Magnolia Little Collection 2013 rubber stamps which worked so well with my theme. They have been coloured in with prisma pencils, copics and also distress ink for the background.

With regard to the dies I have used the Magnolia doohickey dies from Volume 18 - absolute cuteness!

I have used Maja Design - Coffee in the Arbour for this frame. Even those small signs 'Take a Break' and ' Join me for a Coffee' are from that collection.

I have used the papers on the background of the frame as well.

I thought since we're in London, Baker Street cannot be left out.

Hope you like today's project and I wish you all a nice week ahead

Love, Claire xxx
